A while ago I read that someone was going to try out Mac System 7 to see
if the file sharing feature would allow a IIgs to access files via
AppleShare.  I have been unable to keep up with the discussions on this
group for a few months now, so if anything has come of this, or if anyone
knows for sure whether or not this will work, could you please email me.
I just picked up a Mac SE for $300 (hey, it was cheap) with the thought
in mind that I could use it as a file server for my 2 IIgs, as well as
being a decent computer for my girlfriend to use.

If System 7 is not enough, I'd like to know if AppleShare will run well
in the background on an SE.  If it takes over the machine, or uses up
too much of the CPU's time to allow the machine to still be usable, then
that option will be out the window as well.
