System 5.04 dead?

I just got my copy of 'Programmer's System 6 Reference' and it's
really a neat thing! Therefore I decided to use any System 6 call
where appropriate in my CHEMIX project, making it incompatible
with System 5.04. (I think, it doesn't pay to write special case
code).
Although the decision is made now, I wonder whether there is
still anybody using System 5.04 (or earlier), and why.
