(II Alive) Switch-It! vs. The Manager (fan the flames)



For those who are interested, Issue #2 (May/June '93) of "II Alive"
magazine has a comparitive review of Switch-It! and The Manager
switcher/multiwhatever programs.

Interestingly, they gave high marks to The Manager (even said it was
More compatible with programs).  They failed to mention anything about
GNO, but I guess v1.1 isn't done yet, anyway.


Basically, they liked the multi-window format of The Manager, and the
ease of loading ProDOS 8 programs from the Finder once all the windows
were shut.  But, they also said that the stack-switching method of
Switch-It! was good for stack-eating programs like Appleworks GS and
HyperCard GS, which can't be loaded concurrently under The Manager.
