Problems building NuLib 3.24 under AIX 3.2

I recently tried to compile the most recent version of NuLib that I
could find on an AIX system, but have had little success. The set-up
that I am currently using is a RISC System/6000 running IBM's AIX
version 3.2.

After modifying the appropriate lines in the nudef.h file for building
under an AIX system and attempting to build a binary, the following
would occur:

---script session begins---
Script command is started on Fri Apr 23 00:09:27 MDT 1993.
acs1 [nulib]: make
        cc -O -s -c numain.c
"/usr/include/sys/types.h", line 106.1: 1506-137 (S) Previous declaration must declare at least one declarator, tag, or the members of an enumeration.
"/usr/include/sys/types.h", line 106.25: 1506-046 (S) Syntax error.

"./nuetc.h", line 37.0: 1506-041 (S) Parameter list cannot contain fewer parameters than required by macro definition.
"./nuetc.h", line 38.0: 1506-041 (S) Parameter list cannot contain fewer parameters than required by macro definition.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.

Make Quitting.

---script session ends---

I haven't that much experience with C, so I consulted a few of my
C-guru friends about the error messages that the compiler was spewing
forth. Unfortunately, I think that they were having less success than
I was in deciphering the error messages.

I have contacted Andy McFadden, but he wasn't able to come up with a
solution. By his recommendation, I am posting here in hopes that I'll
be able to draw from someone else's experience in this matter.

If anyone has been successful in building a copy of NuLib under AIX,
please get in touch with me either by posting or email (email tends to
be more reliable).

Thanks for your time,
