In fact the net guideline specifically indicate that this type of posting is
not to be done. It's really simple common sense, but people should realize
that newsgroups can be dropped by sites because they stray too far from
them. A lot of the .advocacy groups degenerate into tasteless behaviour as
well. The Internet/Usenet is not there to allow anyone to say anything they
feel like. Moreover it's not a free service and does have a mandate. The
end result of having people on the net who have no feel for the guidelines
is quite frankly that many local Internet sites will drop the newsgroup.
