I would recommend sodering a 14 pin socket on the Zip for the oscilator
and plugging the oscilator into it.  That way if you wish to change it
later, no sodering.  You might want to change it if you find your setup
can't reliably run at its present hig speed, or if you decide to perform
the extra (more diffucult) step to go above 12mhz.

With the 14 pin socket, you can buy either the full size or half size
oscilator.  When I bought mine, full size was in stock and half size
was six weeks back ordered.  I got the full size.

My ZipGS uses the 600mil (wide) sram sockets.  I bought 35ns chips and
haven't experienced any problems with them running at 12mhz.

As mentioned, changing the 65816 can be tricky without the proper tool.
It can be easy to break the socket if you aren't careful.

Performance speaking, it is now about imposible to tell which direction
a window is drawn, it just appears all at once!
