Thanks Steven... I've been "hacking" a bit, but with little success. I 
managed to get GIF3200 to *list* the files on the CD, but it refuses to
convert any selected file [ it defaults back to whatever was already in
memory at the time ]. 
I have had even less success with GIF-View... darned if I can find where
it checks the filenames for an exact  .GIF  filename suffix.

Does anybody know if either of the two authors is still alive, or what?
