This is because home VCR's are made to handle marginal signals... I can record
a C64 on a VCR I used to do it often... but it was by no means interlaced or
up to spec and I am willing to bet If you genlocked anything to the 64 or
to an Apple II/IIc/IIe most equitment will hate the signal... But that doesn't
mean it will display on a monitor or record on a home vcr... A camcorder I
would say <Depending on the model> wouldnt be as tollerant of things like that.

all I can say is don't go down to many generations with that...
