MuGS 2.0 features

MuGS is an ongoing shareware Internet news and mail offline reader
project for the Apple IIGS. Version 1.0 was my original public release
-- no more than a simple mailbox reader and reply editor. Version 2.0
adds many more features, including more configuration options, a faster
indexer and generally more efficient operation.

MuGS 2.0 REQUIREMENTS
"""""""""""""""""""""
  o Apple IIGS
o GNO/ME 1.0 or higher (from Procyon, Inc.)
o MicroEMACS 3.11c (available via FTP on sandman.caltech.edu)
o some way of getting mail packets (e.g., modem)
o suggested: UNIX 'compress' for GNO (pindarus.cs.uiuc.edu) or
    GS/ShrinkIt for uncompressing mail packets

I am already working on the next version which will include
Usenet news support (as you can tell from the X-Newsreader: header of
this article) and many, many new features. Dependence on the GNO
shell will also be removed so anyone can use MicroEMACS and MuGS.

Please send comments, wish lists, criticisms and bug reports to
taob@r-node.hub.org (you may have to update the %gripe variable in the
MuGS configuration).
