Sorry about the flames

I feel like owe most of this group an apology. I 'learned' long ago
that it's best to just let things slide rather than start a flame war.
I've gotten used to dealing with professional, mature and extremely good
software authors through this group over the years. I started reading again
about a month ago, and while most of it was like being home again I couldn't
believe some of the other stuff. I promise to just let things go next time and
avoid wasted bandwidth.
