Looking for comms software

My humblest apologies if this is an inappropriate newsgroup for this query, but
I am wanting to know if anyone knows anything about software which can be used
as a FidoNet point on a Apple ][e or GS.  Presumably, this means a mailer and a
BBS.  If such as product or products exist, from where can they be bought,
ftp'd or otherwise acquired?
