I don't think help is the problem since Mike is the only programmer
that works on ORCA/C. There were a number of problems found pretty much
from the first of the beta test by, as near as I can tell, a
significant number of the testers. Unfortunately, Mike didn't think
these problems were "real" and continued onwards. I was appalled that
he was going to press with the announced version.
I now think that the good news is: He realized that these were real
problems and is in the process of addressing them.
The better news is:
Noone that hasn't received 2.0 has been charged on their credit card.
The worser news is:
Those that did receive 2.0 MAY be forced to pay an update fee (based on
recent postings), for the FINAL version. I really hope this isn't true.
The bottom line for those that have not received their 2.0: "Trust me,
you don't really want the announced version."
We all need to understand that many factors drive developers such as
Mike, most of which we are not and never will be aware of.
Now that I've written these soothing words: Where the blankity,
blankity blank is my InWords update? ;-)
