//c hard drives (again)

The first time around I received *no* replies, so let's try again.
 
1. Does anybody sell hard drives for //c's anymore? If so, who, and
   how much do they cost?
2. Just out of curiosity: where do you connect it, to the smartport?
   Into which slot is the drive and its partitions mapped to?
 
(I'm asking this for a friend, I myself use a GS.)
