MIDI for SoundSmith 1.x

Hi,

  I was wondering if some SoundSmith users out there can help me.  Is there
a way to enable MIDI input?  I had SS 1.x and I setup the MIDI driver (I think)
by using the MIDI menu, but I couldn't find a way to start or stop recording.
So, does SS 1.x have sequencing capability???
