IIgs and O/H projectors

Does anyone know for sure if an Apple IIgs will work through the DB-15
port of an Ovation Overhead Projection panel?

We had one of these things at our last User Group meeting, but were afraid
of damaging something in either the panel's circuitry or that of the IIgs
we were using. The panel has a compsite input, so we used that, but the 
640 mode color display was TRULY BAD. Color display in 320 mode was OK, but
you can do only so much with a composite image on a IIgs! Text displayed 
just fine from both the IIgs and a IIe.

We will continue to use this device at future meetings for our demos, etc,
but we would like to be a little more confident with what to plug into it.

The book of spells and incantations which comes with it of course gives full
details of how to make it work with Macs and those PC things. Is it fair to
assume that if it works with a Mac, it will work with a IIgs?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
