Is my keyboard dead?

Well, it isn't so far as I know. But I am having problems with it.
After tuning in to my //gs, I turned off my //e for quite a while.
Now I'm trying to network the two together via a standard modem
cable - BUT! The keyboard is acting funky. I'm thinking that there
is a lot of cat hair in the thing presently and that is what is
causing the problem - but I thought I'd ask for opinions and
suggestions anyway. Who knows - maybe someone will have a great
idea. :)

Basically, my first symptom was that the "Q" key would not work.
So I took apart the //e, took apart the keyboard (which you can
only do so far [ie:the backplane on it won't come apart from the
metallic covering]), and cleaned it with some alcohol and swabs (not
to be confused with swbyps ;) ). I got a LOT of cat hairs out
of the keyboard, smiled, and put everything back together. Now
I get repeating keys. :( Anything I press on the keyboard continuously
repeats. :(

Guess I'll take the whole thing back apart again. :( Any ideas why
it's doing this now?

Thanks ahead of time! :)
