Alright Joe. You've had your fun. Stop lieing.
Let me get something straight with you here. I personally know Allessandro
Bonzai (aka DadoPado). A few months back, he and I discussed Olivier's
current GS programming situtation. Dado mentioned about how Olivier got
a PC, and isn't really "doing stuff" for the GS anymore; plus, he's
going into Artificial Intelligence (yes, that's right). I also asked
about PhotoNix II; Allessandro was kind enough to explain that it was
asked to be registered, but Mr. Goguel didn't mind people not paying for
it; he'd rather see people HAPPY with money than happy without. Olivier
(to my knowledge) has never made any commercial software. _NOR_ has he
ever -CHARGED- someone for his work. He WILLINGLY gave Allessandro the
source to NoiseTracker, Oil Landers (big whoop. Comes on the disk), and
the XMas Demo.
First thing that comes to mind: "Well, Olivier and him are friends. Of
course he's going to give the source to him." This is a reasonable as-
sumption, but it's not true; Allessandro helped Olivier out with some
code; therefore he had to recieve the source.
Anyways. My point is, I _KNOW_ you did _NOT_ give Olivier
$100+ bucks for software; you may have SENT him $100 because you
enjoyed his work, and thought that he could use $100; but you did
not buy his software.
...I was speaking with James Brookes tonight, and he
mentioned that when Olivier came to the states, he almost had to
shove the registration money for PhotoNix II down Olivier's throat
(Thanx to Dominique :)). Olivier just would not accept it. He doesn't
want money; that's VERY obvious. Therefore, your above post is not
true.
Come on, Kohn. Lieing doesn't get you anywhere. I can't
prove you didn't send money to Olivier; but it's obvious that you
did NOT send money to him to _BUY_ the warez from him. Olivier is
too "Free" to do that. I know it, Ian knows it, James knows it, and
you know it, Joe. I know you do.
You write good articles; don't blow your reputation as a
cool writer because of a lie you make. (Am I sounding like your
mother yet? I hope so).
Take it easy.
Yoshi.
