Void in Apple IIGS software (was DuelTris...Kevin's LONG reply to responses)

The following revelation escaped Steven T Chiang's lips:

Yes, that's true too, but I would think that if a company wanted to
concentrate on one area to software for the GS, it would be stuff that
Seven Hills typically puts out. Useful applications which will help get
your work done. We need one or two good standalone WP's, databases,
spreadsheets, graphics packages, page layout, etc. For example, 95% of
the features found in the high-end stuff like Word 5.0 or WPWin don't
require a super-fast processor or 256-colour displays. It wouldn't be
difficult to write a GS word processor which has an outline mode, style
sheets, a macro language, table editing, inline graphics, multiple
columns, a "tool ribbon", page preview, footnotes, TOC/index generation,
spelling/grammar checkers, thesaurus, etc. Most of that can be done
with AppleWorks and the appropriate TimeOut add-on. Here is an example
of software which is technically feasible on a GS (unlike, say, a
sophisticated 3-D helicopter combat simulator), yet no one has stepped
forth to offer one.

So where were you guys four years ago? ;-)

Yes, but personally I would place priority on productivity software.
