Mad about copy protection.....

Well here is my first posting so be put up with my lack of knowledge
of the posting process...I just hope it gets there:>

Well the other day I purchased a product from an apple dealer...
It was copy protected by the key disk method....
I was using the disk for a few days...when it suddenly died..
the program would not find the key so it wont let me run it.

Well I called the company and they said that the program was 
discontinued and they cannot help me.  I asked them if they 
had any copies, "I am entitled to one according to their 
written agreement..." they basicly said they destroyed ALL
copies and code....YEAH RIGHT!.  Well as it stands now..I am
out of a program and no support...

NICE JOB GUYS...COPY PROTECTION SUCKS..WHEN COMPANIES DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR 
OWN RULES............one disgrunted Passport software owner...:<
