Where did you get that information? Most of the benchmark etc, indicates my
GS running at 9MHz to be approximately 7 MHz. And by the way, as a user and
programmer, I did think that my GS is more than twice as fast!

: The GS is also only capable of taking 8Mb of RAM, not 16Mb (less 128K).
: Not considering sound and graphics, a //e with one of these boards is FAR
: superior hardware to a GS.

Any serious software for //e out there required 16 MB? Will you ever see one?
8 MB is more than enough for an 8 bit machine. Even my GS runs comfortably
with 4 MB.

: [Note that you could add SHR graphics to a //e with the VOC].

Note that you will need to buy another card. Why don't save the money and get
a GS?

: I Absolutely agree - I would never buy one of these boards unless they
: somehow got IIGS system software working on it - which is highly unlikely.

: Any solid data to back this up?
: Can the zip or transwarp tell you what the hit ratio is?
: When people quote 3.9Mhz average for an 8Mhz board, I'm a bit sceptical
: about this claim.

How about people who quote you 7 MHz average for a 9MB board?

8K and 32K of cache did make a different. By the way, I tried 64K cache,
it almost did not speed up at all, so I don't believe more than 64K cache will
help much.

OK, I am saving money for the Avatar.
