R A M chips in an enhanced ][e vs. a Reg ][e ???????

Is there a difference between the soldered RAM on an enhanced ][e
as compared to the socketed RAM on a non-enhanced ][e ??

I am wondering because the chip numbers are different and a chip
from the non-enh. will not repair the enhanced ][e.

If they should work, then I must have some other problem here
causing this thing not to startup.
