bitmouse

I've got my apple //e at school now.... I have the program publish it.
I ordered a "bit mouse" so that I could pretend that I was on a macintosh.
The bit mouse doesn't work very well.  The publish it (and newsroom) programs
think that I'm pressing the mouse button at random times when the mouse
is moved.... Any wisdom out there on the bits?

both programs are early versions (versions 1.5 and thereabouts)
