Ja, let's start a system flame :) I am really wondering about this Avatar
thing ... I saw Bill's hT"presentation" on KFest, and it sounded interesting,
but
a) It's a long way from idea to reality and
b) I am concerned about the use of a 65SC816 as the "main" processor (apart
   from secondary processors).

Let me elaborate on b): The Avatar, if it ever becomes reality, has to create
its own market. The GS people won't kick it. This is exactly what Bill
wants, so he said at least. Now, isn't it a bit ridiculous to have a machine
with a 65SC816 handling a, say, 68040? Ok, I could probably live with that.
There is, however, another problem: The virtual lack of stack space on the
65SC816. The CPU'd need a 24-bit stack pointer, but that's alas not
implemented. I think that's a asevere limitation (heck, even the 68000
can place a stack anywhere in memory) that needlessly cripples the Avatar.
