What makes you think it would be a Z80?

The PC Transporter is a card for any slot-based Apple II, which in
effect contains an entire IBM PC (XT, not AT) clone. It has an NEC V30
processor (16-bit data bus, 8086 compatible), up to 768k of RAM, a disk
controller, and CGA video circuitry. There is a socket for an 8087
floating point co-processor.

When running as an Apple II, the card can be used as a disk controller
and RAM disk. You can connect Apple 3.5" drives and MS-DOS 5.25"
drives to the PC Transporter.

When running as an IBM PC, the card takes over the computer. The
Apple's monitor, keyboard, speaker, printer, modem, mouse and disk
drives are used by the PC Transporter, with the MS-DOS software being
none the wiser.

The best combination is a PC Transporter and IIgs, since the IIgs's
RGB monitor gives the best video display in PC mode.

Anything else you would like to know about it?
