Re: HyperStudio vs HyperCard: which to buy?
The following revelation escaped FORDE@UV6.EGLIN.AF.MIL's lips:

That's tough question.

HCGS has by far a better programming language. The database, string
and math functions of Hypertalk let you do a *lot* more than
HyerStudio's SimpleScript.
> What are the comparative advantages of either?
I find that writing stacks proceeds much quicker with HCGS, although
others may challenge me on that. Things like judicious screen redraws,
access to almost any function from the keyboard or via a single mouse
action, etc. make HCGS a pleasant environment to work in.
OTOH, HS has good support for things like adding sounds and
animation to your stacks (which are more difficult to do with HCGS).
The biggest advantage would probably be the run-time module. Your HS
stacks can be enjoyed by anyone with a GS and the HS "player". There
isn't a similar device for HCGS, and that really limits your market.
> Can the stacks of either be moved/shared with the Mac hyper environment?
No, the three formats are mutually exclusive. HyperMover only
converts from Mac -> GS. The results aren't that spectacular anyway.
