I would say: An "original" SCSI drive may work with a ][+, if ...

The slots remained the same during the various Apple II models (excluding the
//c and //c+). The only reason why an ][+ wouldn't work, is, that the firmware
in the SCSI card's ROM require an 65C02.

The RamFAST/SCSI seems to work only with a IIe (or IIGS). In the manual only
states about configurations like "The Apple IIGS and ..." or
"The Apple IIe and ...". Nothing about the ][+. I will take a look at the manual
again.

I think, the Apple SCSI card works with a ][+. Isn't there a statement on the
cover saying "The SCSI card for the Apple ][+, Apple IIe and Apple IIGS." or
something similar ? I can't proof that, because I sold my Apple card.
