Yes, there shouldn't be a problem. I know some people who use Quantum drives
on their GS.

Because the SCSI concept is computer independent, all SCSI harddisks should
work with a IIGS (equipped with a SCSI card, ofcourse). I heard that some
harddisk manufacturers don't follow the SCSI rules, but the well known like
Seagate, Conner, Quantum, ... do.
I don't know about SCSI-2. Could someone please explain the differences between
SCSI and SCSI-2 ?
