IBM text files have returns followed by linefeeds, so the returns are where they should be but every line _except the first_ has a Ctrl-J at the beginning (there is probably also a lone extra line at the end with just a Ctrl-J in it). Those files weren't transferred in text mode properly. If they were, you wouldn't be seeing the linefeeds like this. Todd Whitesel toddpw @ cco.caltech.edu
