I cannot find my reference!!  I remember having read that there
is a difference in the timing (when crossing a page) between one
of the instructions of an "02" vs a "c02."  I know nothing about
disk protection, but I remember having read that this errant "02"
instruction was used by disk protectors and that this caused
problems when the IIe came out because some software no-longer
worked because of the "c02."  (Note: I'm not talking about the
"mouse nest.")  Perchance this is your problem?
