SURE AE followed Apple's guidelines! <insert heavy sarcasm> Tell that to my
power supply.

You have never run any heavy disk intensive applications then, which is where
the RamFAST shines. I run a BBS (EBBS, which is ProDOS 8 based) and the
RamFast makes WORLD of difference. On my OTHER GS (which also has a RamFAST) I
do occassional programming in Orca/M/C/Pascal. Again, having that RamFAST
helps file access QUITE a bit more .5 percent.

And, yes, I do have another computer for comparison purposes. That's the GS I
use at work which is only running the Apple Hi Speed SCSI card. It is
NOTICABLY slower in launching applications and Transproging from application
to application.

I've used caching SCSI controllers almost from the beginning (beginning with
the MultiKache) cause I was NEVER able to get Apple's original SCSI card to
work with ANY of my hard drives. At least the Apple High Speed SCSI does work.
