   The slots work pretty much the same as the Apple II+ except for the
   expansion slot.  You can't use a memory card that was designed for
   use with Apple's slot 7, however, Applied Engineering did make a
  card that would allow you to increase the memory. Don't remember 
  offhand which one that was.

    It's compatible with an Apple II+

    I don't think so. I used one for a few years and it was a good
    computer.

     Franklin is still in business...They make those little
    spelling gadgets.  They no longer make the Apple compatible
    computers. They were making IBM compatible for a while.  Don't
    know if they still are.

     I believe the 80 col card goes in slot 3.
