Well, actually, since I /am/ one of these "college kids," I guess they DO
buy EXACTLY as much software as whoever the hell I think I are...

Well, you got me there.  I've never sent in a single shareware fee.  But
then, I don't use any shareware programs.  Except Shrinkit, of course.  And
I offered to send Andy some dough, but he declined (said it would spoil by
the time it got to California).

On the other hand, I support present efforts like GNO/ME and Dream Grafix
and Orca/C by having purchased them.  I'm still planning on buying a few
other programs and paying for upgrades when I can save up enough money,
too, but as a "college kid," I work hard, have little money, and expect to
get lots of things free.

Yeah, I guess if the "old days" are today and yesterday, those same
"college kids" were/are just as active as they are/were...
