The ProDOS File System Extension is truly a clever piece of work: it allows
you to manipulate files and folders on ProDOS disks from the System 7 Finder,
just as if it was a Macintosh disk. However, it is NOT a File System Translator
like the HFS FST in GS/OS. It simply allows an LC user to perform ProDOS Disk 
and File operations in the Finder without having to dive back into the IIe
emulation. 

Don't try to use it to copy Mac files to a ProDOS disk, though. Most of the
files you'll want to copy, such as TrueType fonts, etc, and, indeed, the ProDOS
File System Extension itself, contain resources, and will not copy. Straight 
ASCII files are OK, but not Teach files, of course. Still, it's easier and 
faster than AFE for files that do work.

The best way to transfer Mac files of all types to a ProDOS disk, and back 
again, remains the Apple IIgs running GS/OS system 6 with the HFS FST active.
