I would except that I managed to buy a 2nd hand one. If the new ones
were to use a 65802 rather than a 65c02 then I would probably buy another
to upgrade the 65802 in my second machine.
Having run out of slots, the Zip Chip & Smartwatch chips have been very useful
(and even work together with no problems).
