I had a similar problem with Proterm 3.0 and AppleWorks 3.0 when I
first started printing to the bubblejet through a ProGrappler card. The
text screen would mess up, but nothing else was affected. Your parallel
card might be echoing stuff back to the computer or setting softswitches it
shouldn't. I solved the problem by setting the ProGrappler to
"transparent" mode.
