  That's a pretty good idea.  More games ought to time actions off
of the heartbeat; but for those that don't, a system like this would
come in handy.  There's always the Zip CDA (and the TWGS CDA) where
you can do this manually; but some automagic method is usually
preferable.  There are a few interesting design issues, but I'll
leave those to the reader.

  Suffice it to say that such a program wouldn't be very hard at all.
