quelle coincidence, i'm making a drum machine right now...
the software is very simple.  it is merely a small program that will load
and play sounds.   For the pads, I'm using little home-made cardboard 'n'
tinfoil contraptions hooked to the gameport pushbutton inputs.   There are
two things I want to do with it...1) get better pads.  Soon  i will buy
some force-sensing resistors ( also useful for VR stuff ) from Interlink

2) hook it to the peripheral port so I can use more pads.
   then I will of course add recording/sequencing features.

if anyone knows anything about using the peripheral ports do tell me.
