Can anyone answer this question?

According to the appendix to the _Apple Numerics Manual_
supplied by sw license, fp6502 can be loaded into the
auxilliary language card and called there, freeing up
about 10k of program space.

Is the code there safe from the /ram driver of ProDOS 8?
Is it best to disconnect /ram in order to use it?

This question is more specific to IIe/c machines, but
I'd be interested if the IIgs p8 acts the same or differently.
