A modest experiment

For those of you wondering what the difference between HardPressed and
AutoArk is...

I recently booted a copy of System 6.0 with HardPressed installed. Big
deal. Well, the trick is that it was on a write-protected 800K floppy, and
even after installing all of the HardPressed files, it had more space on it
than it did before compressing stuff.

The best part is, it only took a few seconds longer to boot.

In case you want to nit-pick, it was a single 800K floppy all by its
lonesome; no other volumes were involved in the process. I stuck it into the
disk drive and booted all the way into the Finder. And yes, it really
was write protected. I have witnesses. :-)

I don't want to give out any specific numbers, because it's still in the
"almost done" stage, and they will likely change. I don't really want to
give out a release date either, for a variety of good reasons. "Soon."
