Hmmmm....
It seems that you are having the same kind of problems that I encountered
when I tried to hook up my 2 new Quantum drives....
First thing .. Is the External case that you are using EXTERNALLY terminated?
If it is then you have to remove the INTERNAL termination that comes with ALL
Quantum drives...
You can do this by looking at the bare drive upside down and removing the 3
terminator resistors at the back of the drive .. (On the Circuit board by the
SCSI connector) They look like small black strips with 8 pins in them..
I found this to be my problem as I was faced with the dreaded DOUBLE
TERMINATION.. And that will cause you untold pain....
