Apparently, not everyone is happy that the meeting at Apple was recorded.

As a matter of fact, I got a phone call yesterday from Ray Knaupp, the head
of Apple's User Group Connection. He was very upset that the meeting was
taped, as one of the very first comments made at the meeting was that the
information was not for publication.

In any case, I learned that in California it is a felony to tape record a
meeting if permission hasn't been secured first. Apparently, it has a 1 year
jail term and a $25,000 fine for a first offense.

Obviously, Apple is not going to sue the President of an Apple II User
Group. Or, I hope they aren't. In any case, to ease the anger, I have agreed
to post Apple's official response to the taped transcript. As soon as I get
it, I'll post it here on c.s.a2, and on all the online networks.
