Apple Employees

There has been speculation going around that the GS will be knocked
off the next Apple price list. I can't get a straight answer from anyone at
Apple, but I do have sources..
Is the GS doomsday after v6.0.1 is released? We have confirmed that
there will be no long-term enhancements in terms of Apple's software, and
it has long been assumed that Apple will not create the Apple IIgs+ that
was being planned on... (I have heard several accounts of that their have been
several different forms of the IIgs+, and none of them got through the steps
of Apple Computer, Inc.)
Is there life for the II after the GS in terms of Apple's own support?
(No Gayla, don't give me your BS that the GS will live on people's support,
because that will soon wear out...) Will there ever be another line? If the
II is phased out, you'd better be running for cover, since most of the II users
will not go Macintosh... Most people will go to IBM or Commodore-Amiga...
I have a plan (yes, I've been working on it for years, just in case the
II Line is ever in trouble.. ;) and I bet you can think of a semi-intellegent
plan on re-constructing the Apple II. Will there be a new line? Is there
an answer? Maybe a II Line that has *stock* features that let it compete
with computers of today? I don't even want to see a "GS Card" for the
LC/40 (or LC/III, or whatever the hell it is...) I want to see a new computer,
and a new Apple II division, and also, once (and if) Sculley leaves Apple to
be in the Clinton administration (didn't he donate xxx dollars, and now Clinton
wants to give him a part?)
I'm not trying to get everyone down, but come ON! This is ridiculous..
I've gotten letters saying the GS was gonna die. I even got an anonymous
30-day discontinuation notice... Please tell us.. yes, tell us, tell us..

Not trying to make everyone downcast, but it hasn't been said, so, I though
t it'd be fun... (!)
