TIMEMASTER //GS Atomic Clock software / Internal Modem STATUS report

Mike Gooding is the Author of the TIMEMASTER IIGS Atomic Clock software.
About one month ago, I began posting inquiries regarding the program and
whether anyone had a version compatible with Internal modems or whether
anyone could assist by providing me with information to setup the
existing program with an Internal Modem.

I received a variety of replies including requests for the program itself
to unconfirmed statements claiming that there is a release out which
supports internal modems.

Suprisingly, I have received MAIL from Mike Gooding who has confirmed the
status of the current version and whether a release with support for
Internal Modems is on the horizon.

The following MAIL from Mike Gooding was received through INTERNET...

I've seen your messages on Compuserve and Internet, but I couldn't send a
reply on Compuserve, so I'll try here. TimeMaster IIgs ONLY works with
EXTERNAL modems connected via the IIgs modem port. I have not figured
how to talk to a serial card or internal modem. Maybe in a future
release. I tried to make this clear in the docs, but you are not the only
one that have still tried to use it with an internal modem. Maybe I need
to get working on that.

Thanks for your message on your investigations into using TimeMaster IIgs
with an internal modem, and your dialog with others on the subject. Just
to further your information on the subject...the modem controlling
portions of TimeMaster IIgs were authored by John Snow, who agreed to let
me use them in TimeMaster IIgs, giving him credit for their development.
It is these routines that limit the use of TimeMaster IIgs ton external
modem. Due to the significant feedback from you and many others like you,
I plan to ask John for internal modem equivalents for these routines.
If I am successful in getting some, I'll probably update TimeMaster IIgs.
It's current revision is v2.1, by the way.
