I have a GS upgrade, the battery is dead, dead, dead, and a ROM 1 GS,
purchased maybe in 1988, with the original battery still working.
I was thinking of using the upgrade as spare parts (if needed), but
when my joystick (MACH III) broke (the button locked on) and I took a
look, they do not have the correct power connector for the GS power
supply. It took 15 min to fix the joystick, but a few hours to figure
out what it was (despite having read of the problem).
When the batterie finally dies, I will probably get a battery clip from
radio shack and solder it in.
