Who needs to go to a local store anyways? They charge too much and rip
you off. And since they regard the IIGS in such low esteem anyways, you're
better off shooting yourself with a gun. Of course, it might be nice to see
what you're buying, but I have never really minded buying software from mail
order. Its easy, quick, convienent, inexpensive, and with the Apple II mail
order places, you'll find much better support than you would at the local
stores.

Now the biggest problem is finding a source of information about what
is being sold on the mail orders, and thats the biggest void in the II market.
A+ is ok, but its nearly a year behind in everything and often gives out
incorrect information. GS+ is a great magazine, but is hard to reach and is
bi-monthly. If the II world gains a method to get information to the all the
users via some format, that will do far more good than having a few local
stores carry II products.
