Isn't that what the LC is? (And with the LC III coming out, it would make a 
nice fast machines for schools.

And what world are you living in? The reason Apple would never sell the 
rights to the II is because they're Apple. Apple is slowly realizing that 
the II is a dead end, and the only reason they are still producing them is 
for the educational market. Because schools can't afford to upgrade (at 
least the ones in rural communities), they are stuck with their IIs. Here 
at Miami, everyone I talk to had mostly IBMs, and some had Macs in school.
My school had several IIs for students and teachers to use, but for class
instruction they had a lab of Acorns. (Which were really nice, I was amazed
at the capabilities back in '85). 

Does anyone know the actual sales figure of IIs for the past year? (And not 
some number that you think is right!!  :-)
