Appleworks 3.0 on GS w/parallel card problem?

G'day all,

In the process of packing away my //e and hooking everything up to my //gs, 
came across the following problem:

I can't get Appleworks 3.0 to use my parallel printer.

Here's my setup:

Rom 3 Apple //gs
RamFAST 2.01 in slot 2 ("your card")
Transwarp GS in slot 4
Apple 3.5, Apple 5.25 (Slot 5 = smart port, Slot 6 = disk port (or whatever))
The parallel card can be placed in slot 1 or slot 7 (set to "your card")

The card works fine when I do an ordinary PR#1/7 from basic.

My Appleworks 3.0 has Timeout extensions installed.

Appleworks 3.0 displays the print thermometer and then proceeds to fill it up
very quickly. Nothing goes out. (Yes, the printer is "Online" :-).

This is even stranger when you consider that my //e was using the same exact
Appleworks setup on the same hard drive with the same printer and parallel
card and having no problems at all.

Anyone got any ideas?
