how to scroll in a TextEdit control?

  i've created a TextEdit control within a window using TENew.  i've
set the window up to have vertical and horizontal scroll bars.  i'm not
using the scroll bars from the TextEdit control because i wanted the
horizontal one also.  So, when i'm typing text, how do i tell when i've
reached the bottom of the window so i can call TEScroll?  i'm using
TaskMaster to manage events.  i looked at the codes TaskMaster sent back
and it doesn't look like it knows when the text being entered is no 
longer in the visible window.
