Not that I'm aware of. You might have difficulty with losing characters
because the CPU doesn't operate fast enough, but that's about it. I'm
running a null modem at 19.2 kbaud with an 8MHz Zip Chip and I don't
have any problems losing characters!! I think a 9600 baud modem should
work fine without a Zip Chip.
