Smartport Questions

How do I get the value for UnitNum in a SmartPort call from ProDOS 8?
I want to issue a smartport call from the last used device?

When each drive is given a unique number at initialization time (from the
Firmware Ref.) is this number unique for each specific type of drive?
I.E. 3.5" Drive 1 is assigned a 1, 3.5" Drive 2 is assigned 2, 5.25" Drive
1 is assigned a 1, etc.  or is each drive assigned like 3.5" Drive 1 is
assigned a 1, 3.5" Drive 2 is assigned 2, 5.25" Drive 1 is assigned a 3?

Any help would be appreciated.
